Year Results in the Northern Territorial Department

The meeting, where the work results for 2012 were summed up, took place in the Northern Territorial Department. Ravil Kuzyurov, the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan on investment and innovative activity, Radik Shagiakhmetov, the Chief of the Northern Territorial Department, and Elvira Gayazova, the Chief of the Specialized Inspection for Analytical Monitoring (SIAM) of the Northern Territorial Department, took part in the meeting.

Radik Shagiakhmetov, the Chief of the Territorial Department, made a report on the work done, having analyzed the state environmental monitoring last year. He gave keynote figures in respect of the activity in the sphere of air, water resources, and subsoil protection as well as figures concerning production and consumption waste management. Perspectives of accreditation diversification of the SIAM Northern branch in respect of free air and production emissions as well as staff increase for the work in the mentioned direction were discussed at the meeting.

Ravil Kuzyurov also asked about the interaction of the Territorial Department with courts and the number of violators brought to responsibility in 2012. He focused his attention on the quality of reports drawing out and anti-corruption issues. The tasks for the current year were read out too.

The Deputy Minister gave a reasonable estimate to the activity of the Territorial Department and recommended to pay a special attention to the realization of nature protection campaigns financed from the municipal budget funded with the money paid as penalties for negative environmental impact.
