Assessment of the Trans-Volga Territorial Department Activity

The results of the year 2012 were summed up in the Trans-Volga Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrey Kalayda also arrived at the meeting.
Nikolay Vasin, the Head of the Trans-Volga Territorial Department, made a detailed report on the work done by the department last year, having placed emphasis on the analysis of the results of the state environmental monitoring. He also sounded the main data for the previous year and draw audience’s attention to the necessity of work strengthening in certain municipal areas.
In general, Andrey Kalayda gave a positive assessment of the territorial department work. He marked a high level of performing discipline, well-timed and high-quality performance of work by the employees of the territorial department. In 2013 within the framework of the year of environmental culture and protection he advised to involve more population into the activity of the department, to maintain a close contact with people, which will help to monitor environment in the region more effectively in future.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
