For the purposes of informing the public on the results of conducted work on protection of Blue Lake shore, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted an on-site press raid. As a reminder, in 2012, in the framework of the republican environmental protection measures, a contracting authority “State Public Institution “Glavinveststroy RT” implemented a project “Protection of the Kazanka River shore near the State Nature Reserve “Blue Lakes” in cooperation with a construction organization ZAO “Restavratsiya”. The necessity to carry out the indicated works was caused by constant intensive caving of the right bank of the Kazanka River accounting for 0.5-0.6 m annually, which could have led to complete destruction and considerable lowering of the water level in Great Blue Lake.
The results of works carried out on the bank of the lake were presented and demonstrated to the representatives of mass media. Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilkham Sabirov responded to every question brought up by journalists.
Director of the construction organization ZAO “Restavratsiya” Marat Bulatov said that the works on shore protection presupposed enrockment and installation of a vertical wall made of larch piles. Only natural materials such as larch, sand and broken natural stone were used for these purposes ensuring preservation of natural landscape.
Dwellers of the near-by villages most of all rejoiced at seeing renewed Blue Lake. Today, on the Day of Holy Epiphany, the bravest bathed right in the water fall. They were happy with the new cold plunge pool; they expressed their gratitude and appealed to others for protection of this nature sanctuary.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
