“Cleanliness Lesson”

Today, within the framework of the measures schedule implementation for the Year of ecological culture and environmental protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan hold the republican ecological and educational campaign “Cleanliness Lesson” in 200 educational institutions, in all municipal areas and city districts of Tatarstan.
Andrey Kalayda, the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, gave a Cleanliness lesson on the topic “Especially Protected Natural Territories (EPNT)” to the pupils of the 3rd to 5th forms at school No. 86 of Kazan city.
The lesson was held in the form of an involving conversation about what ecology is, and what each person can do for preserving environment around us. What is meant by specially protected nature conservation areas, and what are they? During the lesson, the children watched a special-purpose film on Volzhsko-Kamsky Nature Reserve.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan presented school No. 86 with environment-oriented literature.
It is the fourth time that the “Cleanliness Lesson” is held in Tatarstan, and its main tasks include enhancement of the level of ecological awareness in the younger generation, fostering of careful attitude of pupils to the nature of their motherland, formation of environment-oriented mindset, support and development of the system of continuous environment-oriented education and enlightenment in the Republic of Tatarstan.
