A municipal exhibition “The world of cacti” was held in the Museum of ecology and environmental protection of Naberezhnye Chelny with the assistance of Cis-Kama Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Cacti lovers, flower arrangers and collectors-floriculturists presented their spiny favorites to the city dwellers. In the framework of the exhibition, in order to assess the best collections, original species and compositions, the exhibits were nominated in 5 categories: “The best collection”; “Particularly attractive and original cactus”; “A very rare species”; “The mostwhimsical form”; “The best composition”. The pieces of work were assessed by the form and appearance, considering also their originality, and beauty of compositions made of cacti. A famous cactus specialist of Naberezhnye Chelny, a collector, head of the anesthesiology and reanimation department of the Naberezhnye Chelny Perinatal Center Viktor Moshensky took an active part in the work of the exhibition.
Sitdikova Ramziya took the first place in the category “The best collection”. Gurova Zinaida was acknowledged as the owner of the rarest cactus species. Contest winners were awarded with the Certificates of Merit and environment-oriented literature (the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan, Springs of Tatarstan).
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
