Awarding of the participants of the All-Russian cleaning “Let's Do It!” project in Naberezhnye Chelny

The All-Russian cleaning “Let's Do It!” took place in 59 regions. More than 70 thousand people took part in it. 1900 tons of garbage were collected, 30 % of which were sent for further recycling. The campaign was realized within the framework of the world project “Let's Do It”. During 2012 the same cleaning campaigns took place in 96 countries of our planet. Millions of people, united by the dream to clear the planet away from garbage, supported the movement with their personal participation.

In Naberezhnye Chelny this project took place at the initiative of the ecological movement “There is no garbage any more” with the support of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Department of Education and Youth Affairs, Komsomolskiy, Central, Avtozavodskoy Executive Committees of Naberezhnye Chelny.

On December 12, the awards ceremony of the participants of the All-Russian cleaning “Let’s Do It” project took place at the youth center “Orion”. Thanks to the project, more than 500 people took part as volunteers in the cleaning campaign on September 15. 5 commercial organizations, 9 educational institutions, and more than 20 public organizations took part as volunteers in the campaign. 943 bags of garbage were collected, only 302 of which got onto waste deposits. 4 tons 119 kg of recyclable materials were sent for further recycling. The project “Let's Do It!” in Naberezhnye Chelny is an example of a big deal with the help of small contributions. It joined efforts of the state, commercial, and public structures. The National park “Low Kama”, the regional public organization “The League of Acting”, the youth center “Orion” acted as co-organizers of the project. The partners of the project are as follows: RA “MediaCenter”, hire van service “Lightning 332211”, business-hotel “Tatarstan”, “Uvinsk Pearl”, “Tsirkul” printing house, the academy of the early development “First Steps”, sport complex “Fitness Planet”, and sole trader “Akulchev”.

At the ceremony all the activists of the project were awarded with letters of gratitude, ecological literature, and ecobags.
