Today, within the framework of the XIII International Symposium “Energy and Resource Efficiency and Energy Conservation” and the XIV International Specialized Exhibition “Energetics and Efficient Use of Resources”, the ecological conference “Ecology. Environmentally Clean Energy” took place under the chairmanship of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov at the exhibition center “Kazanskaya Yarmarka”.
The Chairman of Public Council under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Anatoly Shchepovskikh and the Head of the Department of the state environment impact assessment of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Raisa Shagidullina acted as moderators of the conference.
Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, constituent entities of the Russian Federation, companies, representatives of academic communities, professors, and students took part in the conference.
Enhancement of energy efficiency, transition to the rational model of resource consumption, and reclamation of energy sources, based on renewable resources, is the priority area in modernization of the Russian economy and promotion of environmental safety. Use of renewable energy sources, as well as realization of the potential of energy efficiency enhancement, will allow increasing competitiveness of products and save primary energy resources.
The policy of energy and resource efficiency remains one of the main parts of the general strategy of social and economic development of Tatarstan, being at the same time the priority area in implementation of the State Environmental Policy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The main principles include minimization of the cost per unit of primary resources, optimal use of secondary and renewable resources, reduction of environmental footprint provided that technological conditions ensuring quality of products are satisfied.
The projects and achievements regarding reduction of high level of man-induced environmental influence determined by the impact of industrial production, minimization of negative influence of all economic agents and overall environmental improvement were presented at the conference.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
