Schoolchildren are invited to take part in the winter phenological competition

Phenological network of the Russian Geographical Society, together with the Russian Textbook Corporation, is launching a new competition in connection with the advent of winter. Young researchers and their leaders are invited to draw up an ecological route, study the snow cover, and also find traces left by animals in the snow. One of the prerequisites is to make a section of the snow cover, describe its thickness, photograph and, based on its type, make assumptions about the weather conditions that influenced its formation.
