The All-Russian Conference with international participants “Green technologies as a way to solve the problems regarding climate change and environmental conservation”

The All-Russian Conference with international participants “Green technologies as a way to solve the problems regarding climate change and environmental conservation” was held at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation with participation of the Head of the Department for the State Environmental Expertise and Standardization of Environmental Impact under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Raisa Shagidullina.
The Conference was aimed at discussion of the optimal strategy for the purposes of settlement of global ecological problems through introduction of “green” technologies at every sector of economic activity where multiple effect of reduction of human impact on the climate and environmental preservation can be achieved.
The following issues were discussed during the conference:
1. The strategy of sustainable development of the Russian Federation in the light of decisions taken at the summit for sustainable development “Rio+20”.
2. Relevant state policy tasks regarding enhancement of energy efficiency of electric power industry through introduction of “green” technologies.
3. Industry peculiarities regarding introduction of “green” technologies in energetics, industry, agriculture, transportation industry, housing and public utilities and so on.
4. Problems regarding rational use of natural resources and transition of industrial companies to the use of the best technologies available.

According to good tradition, the Ministry of Ecology hosted a New Year's tree for the children of the department's employees.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
