The 3rd International Forum “Clean Water”

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov took part in the round-table meeting “Effective management of water resources: problems, tasks, tentative solutions”, organized by the Federal Agency for Water Resources in the framework of the 3rd International Forum “Clean Water”. The meeting was led by Director of the Institute of Water Problems under the Russian Academy of Sciences Victor Danilov-Danilyan, Head of the Federal Agency for Water Resources Marina Seliverstova and Vice-chairman of the Board for Assessment of Productive Forces, Head of the Department for the Problems of Nature Management and Ecology Anatoly Shevchuk. Following the results of the round table meeting, recommendations were elaborated regarding legislation improvement, field development, informational resources, science and staffing issues in the field of water resources. The 3rd International Forum “Clean Water” took place in Moscow on November 6-7, 2012 at the International Trading Center. It was organized by the non-commercial partnership “Russian Water Association” with the support of the Federation Council, the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation. Various issues were considered in the framework of the Forum “Clean Water” regarding national and international policy in the field of water resources. Water resources along with provision of the population with high quality potable water were discussed. Heads of public authorities of the Russian Federation and foreign countries, as well as accredited representatives of the Russian and international scientific and expert communities, and specialists in the field of water resources from Russia and abroad took part in the Forum activity.
