The first Republican Environmental Youth Forum “Ecovolna”

For the purposes of support and development of environmental movements in the Republic of Tatarstan, enhancement of efficiency of their activities aimed at fostering of ecological awareness of youth and the population in general, the Tatar Regional Department of the All-Russian Youth Association “Russian Students’ Teams” will hold the first Republican Environmental Youth Forum “Ecovolna” in cooperation with the Youth Public Chamber under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Forum will take place from October 31 until November 1, 2012 under the auspices of the Youth Center “Volga” of Laishevo Municipal District.
Public environment-oriented organizations for children, students and youth, representatives of state authorities, as well as public and academic figures will take part in the Forum activities. The Forum program will include plenary sittings, discussion platforms and workshop sessions.

A cooperation agreement was signed today between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Judo Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan. The document was signed by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin and President of the Tatarstan Judo Federation Pavel Nikolaev.
The Nizhnekamsk City Court upheld the environmentalists' demands and ordered the chairman of the Petrokam-Avto garage cooperative to eliminate violations of environmental legislation and pay the amount of damage caused to nature.

Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a solemn event dedicated to honoring those for whom the defense of the Motherland has become a matter of honor. Veterans of military operations, active staff, as well as relatives and friends of the heroes gathered in the hall to share the joy of returning and honor the memory of those who forever remained at their combat post.
