“Earth Charter” Public Park Opening

About 200 fir-tree saplings, most part of which were bought by the children for the money raised from waste paper collection, were planted in the territory of the Municipal Budgetary General Education Institution “Gymnasia No. 7”. According to the Headmistress of the gymnasia Lyubov Kocheneva, senior students showed great interest to the campaign: they themselves went for saplings to seed plots. The presence of the pupils of the 4th forms at the opening ceremony was very symbolic as next year having passed to senior forms they will actively join the process of greenery planting in the territory of the gymnasia.

Participation of school students in such events helps to form their active civic-mindedness, to develop their environmental culture, and draws their attention to nature protection activities.
