The Standard coordinates interests and needs of construction industry with broad environmental requirements. The National Standard includes a series of environmental requirements to the real estate facilities, inclusive of the use of eco-friendly construction materials of non-criminal origin and power-efficient energy sources, cost-effective water use and active use of construction waste.
According to the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation Rinat Gizatulin, the main task of the approved standard is to set landmarks for environmental requirements in construction field for all the parties concerned — from clients and designers to foremen.
