The Results of the Republican “Cleanliness Lesson” Campaign

Within the framework of the worldwide “Let’s Clear Away Our Planet from Garbage” Campaign the republican ecological and educational campaign “Cleanliness Lesson” was carried out in all educational institutions and institutions of primary and secondary professional education of the Republic of Tatarstan on September 27. The campaign was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with administrations of municipal and city districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
More than 25 thousand pupils of primary and secondary school age from more than 1,700 educational institutions of the republic made themselves aware both of the environmental conditions of the Republic of Tatarstan and the necessity to protect environment. Pupils asked a lot of interesting and smart questions concerning ecological issues and got full and complete answers.
The First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for environmental protection Rustem Kamalov gave Cleanliness lesson to the pupils of the 5th and 6th forms of Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary General Education School No. 24” of Almetyevsk. Tatar Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor Ilsur Gilmutdinov, the Chief of the Southeast Territorial Department of the Ministry Ramil Nizamov, the Chief Specialist of the Department of Water and Land Resources of Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan Elena Puzhaychereda, the specialist of Department for Fauna Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Igor Egorov also took part in the campaign.
The Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan for environmental protection Andrey Kalayda gave the same lesson at Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Secondary General Education School No. 33 with advanced studying of some subjects” of Aviastroitelniy district of Kazan City.
The Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan for investment and innovative activity Ravil Kuzyurov took on a teacher’s duties and gave the lesson at Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary General Education School No. 144 with advanced studying of some subjects” of Privolzhskiy district of Kazan City.
Children listened to these so-called “teachers-ecologists” with great interest, and actively asked questions and participated in discussions.
“Cleanliness Lesson” was devoted not only to the issues of environmental protection and to the improvement of a sanitary and ecological situation in the republic, but also to deeper understanding of the word “cleanliness” by young generation. Cleanliness means not only cleanliness of streets, yards, entrance halls, but also spiritual wealth of a personality brought up according to the best historical and cultural traditions and capable to protect the native land.
It was for the first time that “Cleanliness Lesson” was carried out with the involvement of a wide range of specialists of the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, territorial bodies of federal executive authorities in the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office, Tatar Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office, departments of Volga-Kamskiy Special Protection National Biosphere Reserve, “Lower Kama” National Reserve and state nature complex reserves.
The representatives of a deputy corps of the Republic of Tatarstan, educators of higher educational institutions, and members of academic and sectorial research institutes of the Republic of Tatarstan also took active part in the campaign.
More than 200 educational institutions’ libraries got about 1000 popular scientific and educational publications issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, such as “Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan”, “Reserves”, “The Little World Around Us”, “Birds of the Republic of Tatarstan”, etc.
The specialists of Nizhnekamsk Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan gave Cleanliness lessons at 39 secondary educational institutions of Naberezhnye Chelny, Tukayevsky, Mamadyshsky, Elabuga, Mendeleevsk, Agryz, Aktanysh, and Menzelinsk municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Chief of Cis-Kama Territorial Department Ayrat Nasybullin gave the same lesson to 173 seniors of Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary General Education School No. 51” in Naberezhnye Chelny.
At Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Gymnasia No. 2 named after Mullanur Vakhitov” the lesson was given by Nikolay Atlasov, the Chief of “Promindustriya” JSC, at Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Secondary General Education School No. 32 with advanced studying of some subjects” the lesson was given by Aliya Gataullina, an engineer and ecologist of First Aid Team of Naberezhnye Chelny. Albina Kamaliyeva, an engineer and ecologist of the infectious diseases hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny, gave the lesson at Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Secondary General Education School No. 52”. An extra-mural lesson was organized in the Informational and Ecological Center “Chelnyvodokanal” JSC. About 900 people took part in the campaign.
Experts of Cis-Kama Territorial Department presented school libraries with ecologically oriented books: “The Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan”, “World Around Us” and promotional material.
The “Cleanliness Lesson” was held by the fellow workers of the Northern Territorial Department at general secondary schools of Arsk, Kukmor, Baltasi and Atnya Municipal Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. All in all, 159 children were involved in the campaign.
For the 2nd and 4th-graders of the Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary General Educational School of Chubar-Abdullovo village” of Aznakaevo District of the Republic of Tatarstan, the “Cleanliness Lesson” was held by the Head of Priiksky Territorial Department Khalil Mustakimov. Fellow workers of Priiksky Territorial Department held the campaign at educational institutions of Muslyumovo, Aznakaevo, Bavly and Yutazinsky Municipal Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Fellow workers of Volga-Kamskiy Territorial Department held the “Cleanliness Lesson” at 6 municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan subordinate to the Administration.
Each school was presented with scientific and educational literature: “The Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan”, “State Register of specifically protected natural sites of the Republic of Tatarstan” and so on. More than 160 pupils were engaged in the campaign.
At the Municipal Educational Institution “Lyceum No. 2” in Almetyevsk the role of the teacher was assumed by the Head of South-Eastern Territorial Department Ramil Nizamov who told the pupils about the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan, about main aims of the work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, who also answered all their questions of interest. In particular, the children were interested in the ecological state of Almetyevsk.
Experts of the South-Eastern Territorial Department held lessons for more than 3 thousand pupils.
Fellow workers of Trans-Kama Territorial Department in cooperation with teachers of the Children's Environmental and Biological Center, The Head of the Fauna Protection Administration held open environmentally oriented lessons at general secondary schools of Nizhnekamsk, Zainsk, Sarmanovo Municipal Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
For the purposes of environmental awareness promotion and development of ecological culture, the pupils were familiarized with nature protection activities held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subdivisions.
The Head of Trans-Kama Territorial Department Rafis Zaynullin told the pupils of the Municipal Educational Institution “Secondary General Educational School No. 1 with advanced learning of certain subjects” about the importance of solicitous attitude to the environment. In total, 538 people participated in the campaign.
Fellow workers of Zavolzhsky Territorial Department held the republican campaign “Cleanliness Lesson” at educational establishments of Kamskoe Ustye, Kaybitsy, Drozzanoe and Apastovo Municipal Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as for the students of Buinsk Veterinary Technical School.
