“Cross-country of the Nations-2012”

The All-Russia Running Day “Cross-country of the Nations – 2012” took place in Kazan as well as in many other cities of the country on September 23. The staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the Minister Artem Sidorov took active part in the campaign.
The competitions took place at 4 sports grounds that united more than 21 thousand citizens. The Birch grove in Mirnyi settlement became the central one.
Welcoming all the participants of the competitions at the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Halikov pointed out that the sportiest citizens of Kazan City gathered on that day in the Birch grove.
Some tens of thousands took part in the cross-country: athletes, veterans of sports, school students, students, families with children, and cyclists.
