“Clean Air” Campaign

   To strengthen environmental emission compliance monitoring and to prevent negative auto transport impact on ambient air, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan carries out “Clean Air” campaign from June 1 to September 30. 

     Specialists of territorial departments of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with inspectors of traffic police and state inspectors of regional departments of traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan carry out selective instrumental vehicles monitoring at police check points on republic highways.

     In total, specialists of the Ministry have checked 4090 cars since the beginning of the campaign, thus 528 vehicles were revealed to exceed the established emissions standards. 514 owners were brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 8.22, 8.23 of the Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation.
