Kazanka and Volga rivers raid

Today, representatives of mass media participated in one of the ordinary raids of the patrol boat of eco-analytical control “Flamingo” with marine natural complex “Volga-М”. Water from Kazanka and Volga rivers was sampled. The Chief of the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Monitoring Andrey Shibayev also took part in the raid.

Eco-analytical boat “Flamingo” is designed to control the sources of pollution in the Kuibyshev Reservoir and in the Lower Kama Reservoir.

As the Chief Specialist of the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Monitoring of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrey Bodyazhin reported to journalists, “Volga-M” complex is equipped with the system of dip sensors providing continuous measurement of the key physical and chemical water parameters (temperature, specific electrical conductivity, salt load, oxygen and hydrogen ions concentration, and redox potential) at two depths. At the same time continuous water selection and delivery is made from the same depths to onboard express chemical analysis devices where by means of flowing and injection analyzers pollutants concentration (oil products, nitrate -, nitrite -, phosphate-, fluoride -, chloride ions, ammonium ions, copper, etc.) is continuously defined. “Don” device carries out remote detection of oil products on water surface. The system of ultrasonic intubation carries out bottom research and identification of polluted layers and foreign particulates in the water.

Water quality monitoring is carried out regularly during all the navigation period on the four main rivers of Tatarstan: on the Volga – from Kriusha village to the town of Tetyusha, on the Kama – from Cheganda village to the river mouth, on the Vyatka – from Plaksikha village to the river mouth, and on the Belaya river – from Gruzdevka village to the river mouth. As the Chief of the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Monitoring of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Andrey Shibayev pointed out, total routes length makes more than 2 thousand kilometers.
