Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Research Institute of Geology of Nonmetallic Mineral Resources”

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov paid a familiarization visit to the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Research Institute of Geology of Nonmetallic Mineral Resources” (FGUP “CNIIgeolnerud”). The Head of the Department for Ecology and Environmental Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Faskhutdinov and Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan for Subsurface Resources Management Timur Ackchurin also participated in the event.
The issues regarding development of geology field in the Republic of Tatarstan and further interaction of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Research Institute of Geology of Nonmetallic Mineral Resources” were considered at the meeting.

Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Research Institute of Geology of Nonmetallic Mineral Resources” is a basic research organization of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation in the sphere of geological exploration, reproduction, and use of nonmetallic mineral resources as well as ensuring scientific and methodical support for geological prospecting works.

The Institute carries out research on projection, geologic and economic as well as analytical and technological assessment of nonmetallic minerals deposit sites in the territory of the Russian Federation. It carries out research on analytical, technological, and scientific and methodical support of geologic exploration of extremely rare types of nonmetallic minerals; on development of innovative techniques and technological workflow of rocks and ores composition studying in the fields of nonmetallic raw materials; on geologic and economic assessment of objects of prognostic, exploratory and evaluating works for nonmetals; on creation of methodical bases for carrying out time-phased prospecting works; on development of the strategy for geological exploration, reproduction and use of nonmetallic mineral resources.
