Voluntary Saturday work was performed in the Newlyweds Park

On July 28, voluntary Saturday work supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was performed with the participation of proponents of such noncommercial organizations as Zeleny Patrul, Liga Dela, EKA, Help Another, The Board of children’s organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan, fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as citizens of Kazan City involving cleaning of the Newlyweds Park territory.
In the framework of the voluntary Saturday cleaning, dead wood, rubbish and weed were removed from the Park territory. Moreover, participants of this event mowed the grass and dug round young trees.
Work on the Newlyweds Park beautification will be continued until September taking up 2 hectares of the territory. In the meantime, proponents of noncommercial organizations will plant flowers, place benches, arrange an arch featuring Park name, as well as install street litter bins and driveway access gates.
In the nearest future proponents of noncommercial organizations intend to design a project aiming at beautification of the entire Park territory with total area amounting to 8 hectares. In such a way they hope to revive past traditions, making this place attractive for the newlyweds who once used to plant here coniferous and deciduous trees and bushes.
