Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia: maximum water saving regimes are established for the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade

Since the beginning of spring of this year, the actual development of the hydrological situation in the Volga basin proceeded according to an unfavorable scenario, according to the official website of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

In order to ensure a balanced satisfaction of the needs of all sectors of the economy, for the regions located in the Volga basin, in the current low-water conditions, maximum water saving regimes have been established for the reservoirs of the cascade. The Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia Dmitry Kobylkin recommended that Rosvodresources kept their observance under special control.
