Attention to the environment-oriented issues in Nizhnekamsk will be redoubled

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov took part in the session of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District Council regarding the course of fulfillment of the “Program on environmental sanitation in Nizhnekamsk Municipal District for 2008 – 2012” and execution of the long-term target-oriented program of republican importance “Environmental protection in Nizhnekamsk and Nizhnekamsk Municipal District for 2012-2015”.
Moreover, Head of the Department for the Mineral and Natural Resources Use and Environmental Protection of the Executive Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Faskhutdinov, Kazan Interdistrict Public Prosecutor Oleg Daminov, Chief State Sanitary Inspector for the Republic of Tatarstan Marina Potyashina, the First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov and Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage of the Republic of Tatarstan Liliya Gaynutdinova also participated in the meeting.
The long-term target-oriented program on environmental protection in Nizhnekamsk Municipal District is a four-year program of republican importance.
The program aims at minimization and prevention of negative man-induced impact on the environment within the context of development of oil-refining and petrochemical plants in Nizhnekamsk Municipal District; promotion of environmental safety and stable development in Nizhnekamsk and Nizhnekamsk Municipal District.
The program “Environmental protection in Nizhnekamsk and Nizhnekamsk Municipal District for 2012-2015” includes the following aspects:
- “Integral assessment and forecast of environmental conditions”
- “Air protection”
- “Water resources protection”
- “Protection of land resources, mineral resources and waste disposal”
- “Beautification and landscaping”
- “Ecological education and awareness, fostering of environmental literacy”
