New approach to old waste. About the possibility of using landfill gas in Tatarstan as an alternative source of electricity

Gas emitted from garbage can become a fuel for generating electricity in Tatarstan. The project for utilization of landfill gas at the landfill sites and construction of an active decontamination station of the landfill with a power plant was launched by Tatneft Public Join-Stock Company with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
