Based on the appeal of citizens in Elabuzhskiy district, inspectors of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration found a violation of environmental legislation and the Water Code of the Russian Federation. The land plot located on the coastal strip of a public water body is fenced, which is a violation. In relation to a natural person, environmentalists conducted an administrative investigation. A fine was imposed on the citizen and recommendation was given of dismantling the fence.
Disagreeing with the above decision, the citizen appealed to the Elabuga City Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, then to the Supreme Court of the Republic. However, the court did not support the culprit.
Measures to eliminate the revealed violations were not taken in the prescribed period. In connection with this, the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration sent a statement of claim to the Elabuga City Court with a request to ensure free access of citizens to the water body - by dismantling the fence.
