Integrated Environmental Lesson

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in association with the Department of Education and Science conducted a nationwide campaign “Integrated Environmental Lesson” in 178 general education institutions of all the metropolitan areas and urban districts. The campaign was dedicated to the International Day of Environmental Education. 7000 pupils in 2-11 grades as well as 300 teachers of the additional, specialized or elective classes of ecology in metropolitan education institutions became the participants of the Integrated Environmental Lesson. Best teachers most significantly contributing to the environmental education of pupils were awarded certificates of merit and letters of appreciation by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. More than 400 environmental books, published by the Ministry – “Red Book of Tatarstan”, “Tatarstan chishmalare” (“Springs of Tatarstan”), “Small world around us” - and many other books as well as the movies about environmental activities in Tatarstan were presented to school libraries.     Within the frameworks of the campaign specialists of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department of Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources conducted an Integrated Environmental Lesson in general education institutions of Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as in Tukaevsky, Yelabuga, Mamadysh, Mendeleevsk, Agryz, Aktanysh and Menzelinsk Districts of Tatarstan. On the whole, around 650 people joined the campaign. The Head of  Territorial Department Ayrat Nasybullin conducted an Integrated Environmental Lesson in senior grades in Children's Ecological and Biological Center №4 of Naberezhnye Chelny.

Specialists of Trans-Kama Territorial Department conducted “Integrated Environmental Lesson” in general education institutions of Nizhnekamsk, Zayinsk and Sarmanovo municipal districts.

The schools that participated in the campaign were awarded ecological books “Red Book of Tatarstan”, “Protecting nature”, “Springs of Tatarstan” and booklets.

The teachers of Biology and Chemistry were awarded certificates of merit and letters of appreciation by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan.

Specialists of the Northern Territorial Department conducted Integrated Environmental Lesson in schools involving 502 people.

Members of Trans-Volga Territorial Department conducted Integrated Environmental Lesson in general education institutions and awarded the teacher of Geography in Hozesanovsky school Olga Kostyukova with a letter of appreciation of Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. The letter was awarded for the formation of environmental outlook among children.

The school library was presented with Red Book of Tatarstan and books concerning native land’s environment.

Specialists of Volga-Kama Territorial Department conducted Integrated Environmental Lesson in schools, and 238 pupils took part in the Lesson.

Integrated Environmental Lesson was conducted by the members of Cis-Ik Territorial Department in secondary schools of Muslyumovo, Aznakajevo, Bavly and Jutaza municipal districts of Tatarstan.

The Head of South-Eastern Territorial Department of Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan Ramil Nizamov conducted the Lesson in the secondary school №9 in Almetjevsk. He told the pupils about Red Book of Tatarstan and the major aims of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

The pupils of elementary school and the pupils of 7th grade came with a sketch on the topic: “Birches in Russia”, in which they told about how they are spread, their curative and medicinal properties, as well as about the risk factors for growth of birches and about the possibilities of preserving birches.

The teacher of Biology Elena Soboleva was awarded certificate of merit and the book “Tatarstan chishmalare” (“Springs of Tatarstan”) by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan for the substantial contribution to the formation of ecological culture and environmental outlook among children.

In the secondary school №3 in Almetjevsk the following events were conducted within the framework of “Integrated Environmental Lesson” day: “Exhibition of hand-made articles from natural materials”, as well as the projects “House plants”, “Wagtail – Ice breaker”, “Silver song of springs”, “Garbage, the problem for big cities”, “The food we eat: wholesome of harmful?”, the performance of the vocal and choreographic ensemble “Little Sun”. The events have been attended by the pupils of elementary school and the pupils of 7-9 grades. Based on the materials of Territorial Departments.
