Inspectors of the Volzhsko-Kamsky Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of mass media conducted a raid in Chistopol in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning of cities and districts of Tatarstan that started on April 1.
Ramis Mingulov, Head of Chistopol City Executive Committee participated in the raid as well.
Local citizens lodged a complaint on the e-government website concerning great piles of construction waste in Koshevogo and Tolstogo streets. As it turned out in the course of inspection, rundown buildings were being demolished in Chistopol. It is planned to tear down 145 barracks. Chistopol City Administration immediately responded to the complaint of citizens. The works in the streets had been completed by the time raid participants arrived. As a result, 127 truckloads of construction waste were taken out.
The territories of inappropriately maintained garage construction co-operatives remain an area of concern. In particular, ravines are filled with household and construction wastes. In the course of the raid, the works on liquidation of unauthorized disposal of production and consumption waste was carried out in one of such ravines on the territory of a garage construction co-operative.
