The day of reserves and national parks is traditionally celebrated on January 11 in Russia. On this day, more than 100 years ago, the first state reserve, Barguzinsky, was opened in our country.

The total area of ​​protected areas in Russia is 63.3 million hectares, and together with regional territories - 209.5 million hectares. The nature reserve fund of the Republic of Tatarstan is formed by 181 protected areas.
