The press-raid at Privolzhsky district of Kazan City

   Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of mass media conducted a raid at Privolzhsky district of Kazan City in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning of cities and districts of Tatarstan that started on April 1.

   The Head of Urban Improvement Department of Administration of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of the Executive Committee of Kazan municipality Lenar Aleev also took part in the raid.

   During the tour the biggest snow dump site, located between Mirny and Boriskovo settlements, was inspected. The area of this object constantly increases, which leads to trees damage. Today the area of the site makes 4.5 hectares.

   According to the inspector of the Central Territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Rifkat Huziyev, this snow dump site doesn't correspond with the requirements imposed on a landfill for snow disposal. So, for example, its territory isn't fenced, there is no solid basis for prevention of snow melt entering into underground waters, there is neither illumination nor garbage selection. As a result of absence of cars entrance control there are cases of solid household waste disposal.

   As the Head of Urban Improvement Department of Administration of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts of the Executive Committee of Kazan municipality Lenar Aleev told, the works on the site cleaning would have been finished by June 1. By the beginning of the winter period its territory will be completely fenced.

   Moreover, in the course of the raid, they inspected the Birch grove, where a site of unauthorized disposal of construction waste was detected. The investigation will be carried out regarding committed violation in order to identify the owner of the site. Appropriate administrative measures will be then imposed on the owner.
