Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of mass media conducted a raid at Novo-Savinovskiy district of Kazan City in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning of cities and districts of Tatarstan that started on April 1.
The Head of Urban Improvement Department of Administration of Aviastroitelniy and Novo-Savinovskiy districts of Kazan City Rustam Hakimov also took part in the raid.
During the tour, Chuykova and Adoratskogo streets as well as the city square of Novo-Savinovskiy district of Kazan City were inspected.
In Chuykova street, on the territory transferred for improvement and beautification to the maternity hospital, the road building using construction waste started at the lakefront, which is inadmissible according to sanitary and ecological regulations. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan issued the instructions to the maternity hospital administration obliging it to use only non-polluting materials for construction.
The place of unauthorized waste disposal was revealed in the lakeshore zone near the wholesale and retail market of Novo-Savinovskiy district in Adoratskogo street. Pollution of the lakeshore zone was caused by unauthorized dumping of snow together with garbage in winter. As this territory is municipal-owned, the Administration of Novo-Savinovskiy district is charged to clean it up.
During Saturday clean-up work which was organized on April 21 and on April 28 in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign, volunteers cleaned the central entrance of the square of Novo-Savinovskiy district and the territory of sub-station to the nearshore zone of the river Kazanka. In the result of volunteer clean-up work 3 sites of unauthorized waste disposal were liquidated. The nearshore zone of the river Kazanka will have been cleared by the end of the two-month campaign.
