Meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by First Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov took place in the form of a videoconference at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The members of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of law-enforcement agencies and Kazan City Executive Committee, heads of structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the representatives of mass media took part in the meeting. Moreover, chiefs and officials of Executive committees of municipal and urban districts attended the meeting through video conference.
The following issues were brought up for discussion at the meeting:
- On the course of holding a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning the territories of municipal and urban districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
- On creation of carbon-depositing plantations in the Republic of Tatarstan on idle agricultural and other lands for the period of 2012 - 2015.

Timur Gilmutdinov, Head of the State Inspection for promotion of ecological safety under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke “On the course of holding a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning the territories of municipal and urban districts of the Republic of Tatarstan”.
Ilham Sabirov, Head of the Central Territorial of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan spoke on sanitary and ecological situation in Kazan City, as well as the events held within the framework of a two-month campaign.
Chiefs and officials of Executive committees of municipal and urban districts reported on the course of cleaning the cities and districts of the Republic of Tatarstan through video conference.
Alexander Lobov, Deputy Chief of the Executive Committee of Kazan Municipal Entity for housing and public services and redevelopment, spoke on the performed work regarding cleaning of the territory of Kazan City.
Marat Faskhutdinov, Head of the Department for the use of mineral wealth, natural resources and environmental protection under the Executive Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke on the matter of creation of carbon-depositing plantations in the Republic of Tatarstan on idle agricultural and other lands for the period of 2012 – 2015.
