Results of the campaign “The grackles have come…”

The results of the campaign “The grackles have come” held with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and “Maxidom” company were summarized on April 22, 2012 at the Central Park of Culture and Rest named after Maxim Gorky.
The indicated contest aimed at development of the culture of solicitous attitude and care for environment in the younger generation. The tasks were as follows:
-enhancement of skills in making things with your own hands;
-fostering responsibility towards environment;
-creation of participants’ awareness of the possibility to make a personal contribution into solution of the global environmental problems.
More than 40 schools of Kazan City took part in the contest for construction of nesting boxes and bird houses. About three hundred new nesting boxes and bird houses were submitted for approval of the Panel.
Truly festive and spring mood was prevailing at the park. Children participated in quizzes, danced and sang along with “Murakami” group.
Following the results of the contest, the Panel decided 11 best pieces of work including a cabin on chicken legs, a castle, a birdhouse with a clock and many others.
Designers of the best crafts were awarded with prizes from “Maxidom” company, such as mobile phones, cameras, and Ipod players.
In the nearest future, all the habitable pieces of work will be placed in the parks of Kazan City.
