Today, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of mass media conducted a raid at Vakhitovsky district of Kazan City in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning of cities and districts of Tatarstan that started on April 1.
During the tour, Tazi Gizzat and Peterburgskaya streets of Kazan City were inspected.
Opposite the main entrance of the recently opened Tatar State Puppet Theatre “Ekiyat”, instead of landscaped green areas planted with ornamental plants, environmentalists found a site littered with household and construction waste. A construction site was located here during project construction. Before commissioning a facility, a contracting agency had to clean the area and plant it with greenery, but none of this was done. At this moment, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan are working on detection of the contracting agency engaged in construction of the Puppet Theater “Ekiyat” in order to impose administrative measures on it.
Inspectors found a half-ruined ramshackle building with a pile-up of household solid waste and biological waste at the following address: 10 Tazi Gizzat street. According to the Deputy Head of the Central Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Anatoly Petrov, residents of the houses located nearby regularly take out their trash and bring it here instead of putting it out to the sites equipped with special containers. At this moment, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department are working on detection of the owner of this site. Appropriate administrative measures will be imposed on the owner for committed violation.
