The 3rd specialized Exhibition and Congress “Clean Water. Kazan” has been opened today in Kazan. The event takes place within the frames of realization of the federal target program “Clean water” for 2011-2017, approved of by the resolution of the Russian Federation Government.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, the Director of UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation Sergey Korotkov, the Head of the Lower Volga Basin Water Management of the Federal Agency of Water Resources Anatoliy Bykov, the Chairman of the Board of “The Russian Water Society” Aleksandr Katkov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov and others have taken part in the opening ceremony of the Exhibition and Congress “Clean Water. Kazan”.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov has greeted all the participants of the event and pointed out that year by year both the exhibition and the congress devoted to clean water have been drawing the increasing attention of visitors of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. In his opinion, it’s important that we pay attention not only to the quality of water, but to the results of the scientific research in this area as well. The questions of water supply should be discussed, too.
The Head of the Government of Tatarstan reported that the country allocates considerable funds for the program of human communities supply with quality water. “We’ll be using the experience of Russia and other countries of the world, and we’d like to offer our scientific research results that could be used in other regions of Russia” – I. Khalikov said to the participants of the meeting and wished them fruitful work.
The Director of UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation Sergey Korotkov and the Head of the Lower Volga Basin Water Management of the Federal Agency of Water Resources Anatoliy Bykov also greeted the participants of the Exhibition and Congress. After that the official opening of the exhibition, attended by more than 67 enterprises from 15 Russian cities and foreign countries, took place.
Guests of honor headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatartan Ildar Khalikov examined the exposition of the exhibition including equipment and services for restoration and protection of water resources, for municipal and industrial water supply, for repair of pipeline networks, for heating and hot water supply, for water sewage treatment and water bottling as well as recent scientific research results.
The event proceeded with the plenary session “The Development of Water Industry in Russia”. The Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov made his report on the issue of “Federal Budget Engagement for taking measures on water protection in the Republic of Tatarstan” at the session. The work went on within the frames of a round-table meeting and concerned the issue of “Water Resources Management, Conservation and Efficient Water Management in Russia.” The round-table conference was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Lower Volga Basin Water Management and Federal State Institution “Sredvolgavodhoz”.
