Briefing meeting on a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign

Today, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the briefing meeting “On the new methods of work of environmental protection agencies in the course of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on cleaning the municipal territories and city districts of the Republic of Tatarstan that will take place from April 1 to June 1, 2012”. The meeting was held in the form of a videoconference in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

     Head of the Administration of the Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service of the RT Farit Khayrutdinov, Head of the Administration of the Federal Service on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being of the RT Marina Patyashina, first Deputy Minister of Forestry of the RT Kharis Musin, Deputy Head of Kazan Executive Committee on land improvement and housing and public utilities Aleksandr Lobov, and Head of the Department for organization of administrative legislative execution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RT Mikhail Aleksandrov responded to all the questions asked during the briefing meeting by mass media representatives.

     During his address, Artem Sidorov talked about the course of preparation for a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign to be held from April 1 to June 1, 2012.

     This year, for the purposes of more effective encountering of waste deposits in hard-to-reach places we will use unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as micro aerial vehicles of the Federation of light sports aircrafts, whereof the facilities are located practically in every city of the Republic of Tatarstan.

     According to the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, new methods of interaction with socially active citizens are applied in Tatarstan.

     Today, public nature protection organizations and youth environmental movements are engaged in volunteer work on encountering and elimination of unauthorized waste disposal places.

     Moreover, with the assistance of the Ministry for Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan, a series of electronic services have been almost completed, including digital ecological map, handling of appeals of the citizens through the portal of state services and mobile terminals, ensuring feedback with the population. To that end, every citizen of the Republic of Tatarstan will have a chance to appear as “public inspector” and influence the situation regarding unauthorized disposal of household and construction waste on the residential land.

     Currently, electronic services designed for the population are tested, and in mid April they will be introduced to the wide spectrum of people.

     As of the 1st of April, people will have a possibility to transmit a message regarding violation of environmental protection legislation by calling the helpline at 267-68-87 or by sending an E-mail to the following address: eco.signal@tatar.ru.

     Moreover, with the assistance of the Republican Agency on Press and Mass Communications “Tatmedia”, heavy coverage of events conducted within the framework of a two-month campaign in media is planned, including coverage of detected unauthorized waste disposal places with the indication of persons who committed an offence.
