Tatarstan will join the All-Russian campaign on wastepaper collection “Subbotka-Pererabotka” (“Recycling on Saturday”).

23 March 2012, Friday

On March 24, the All-Russian campaign on wastepaper collection “Subbotka-Pererabotka” will be held in Tatarstan with the assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The campaign is organized on the initiative of EKA Movement.

The purpose of the campaign is to promote separate waste collection and recycling throughout the country, to educate general public on the importance of public participation in the solution of the so-called "garbage" problem.

The citizens of Tatarstan can go to volunteer waste collection centers and consign the piled paper garbage for recycling instead of putting it out to pasture.

Waste collection is carried out on a charitable basis. All the funds raised for the collected waste paper will be transferred to the National Fund for the Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan and to organizations for protection of homeless animals in Kazan.

Almost all municipal districts of Tatarstan take part in the campaign. For information on waste paper collection centers in your municipal district call: 8927-407-48-72
