Interdepartmental Commission Meeting

An extraordinary meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan has been recently held in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. The meeting with the agenda “Innovative Technologies for Utilizing the Sediments of Treatment Facilities” was chaired by the first deputy minister of ecology and natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov.
The meeting included the members of the Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Safety, Nature Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare in the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of territorial governmental bodies of federal executive authorities, representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan City Executive Committee, Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Vodokanal”, experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
RusEkoTech LLC presented a project on utilizing the sediments of treatment facilities, according to which the sewage water sediments shall be processed into the organic mineral fertilizer used as a soil conditioner.
The following issues were discussed:
- results of the research on the discharge into Lake Sredny Kaban; the research was performed by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources;
- organizing the works on construction of treatment facilities on Lake Sredny Kaban.
