Environmental experts have precluded discharge of sewage in Menzelinsky district. The enterprise was fined for reckless disregard

Sewagedischarging pipe was discovered in the town of Menzelinsk by inspectors of Prikamsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Sewage discharged on the terraincontaminated soil and fell into the river. In selected water samples environmentalexperts detected exceeds of ammonium ion index by 12.2 times, nitrite ion by 1.5 times, biological oxygen demand in 5 days by 2 times, phenol by 4.8 times. High concentration of oil products and sulfate ions was detected in soil samples. The inspectors have drawn up protocolsof administrative offence in respect of organizationofficials under part 1 of article 8.14, part 2 of article 8.6 of the Russian FederationCode of Administrative Offenses and in respect of legal entity - under part 1 of article 8.14.  They also issued remedial action order on elimination of causes and conditions that contributed to commission of the offense.
