88 million of seedlings will appear on the banks of the Volga River in the framework of rehabilitation of the river. "This is one of the most effective methods of protection, - said the Minister of ecology and natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev. – Tatarstan has a positive experience of creation of anti-erosion protective forest plantations. Their total area today is 57 thousand hectares."
The project for rehabilitation of the Volga River will be implemented by the Ministry of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation by the assignment of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, together with 17 subjects of the Russian Federation.
