Permits for discharges of polluting substances into water objects and atmosphere will now be issued by the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan

Some of the powers in the field of environmental protection have been transferred to the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan. Now the issue of permits for discharges of polluting substances into water bodies will be carried out by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will allow to take part in state regulation of influence on water objects for natural resource users of regional level. The procedure of obtaining a permitting document in the field of atmospheric air protection has also been optimized. The permitting document in the field of atmospheric air protection will also be issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. This is due to the fact, that the Department of Rosprirodnadzor  of the Republic of Tatarstan does not currently implement regional state environmental supervision. Therefore, the results of supervision activities are not taken into account in establishing the maximum permissible emissions and temporarily agreed emissions, including small and medium-sized businesses. This will avoid additional administrative barriers for natural resource users.
