Phosphate free detergents against blue-green algae. The Minister of Ecology, Farid Abdulganiev, told how to save water reservoirs and increase the amount of fish in Tatarstan's water reservoirs

18 January 2018, Thursday

The Minister of Ecology and Natural resources of RT Farid Abdulganiev called to refuse from detergents with phosphorus content in favor of lakes and rivers of the Republic at the meeting of the final Collegium of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan.  He explained that for many water facilities of Russia, and Tatarstan here is no exception, there is a problem of flowering of blue-green algae with formation of toxic substances. The reason is the use of detergents with high phosphorus content. The Minister Abdulganiev recommended to use at home the  phosphate detergents with minimal phosphorus content, and stressed that such  quality and inexpensive products are produced in Tatarstan. "Preservation of the ecology of water facilities is a very  important task for the Republic. "There should be a lot of fish in our rivers," - the Minister said. "Due to the explanatory work, some changes were made to the boundaries of subsoil users, who had licenses to carry out mining operations on the territory of sterlet spawning". Now the production at these sites is completely discontinued, and new licenses for the plots that coincide or border with spawnings are not issued. The on line monitoring is carried out over the machinery,  involved in the extraction of minerals. The mining machinery is equipped with on-board navigation equipment and is connected to the unified state informational system "GLONASS + 112", and the visualization of data on the boundaries of plots is made in GIS "Ecological Map of the RT".
