In the framework of the year the ecology by 6 times more of GDS than in 2016 was repaired.  More than 3,000 living houses and more than 15,000 people in the republic are excluded from the risk zone with improvement of the safety of living for more than half a million of Tatarstan citizens. This was announced by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev. The fulfillment of works on overhaul of 22 hydraulic facilities also allowed to protect gas pipelines, power lines, communication lines, roads, social infrastructure facilities, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, cattle farms etc. from negative impacts of waters. The possible damage that can be caused to life, health of natural persons, and property of natural and legal persons as a result of the accident on hydraulic facilities in the amount of more than 1.3 billion rubles has been prevented.
