Today, biological treatment facilities were opened after reconstruction in Verkhny Uslon. Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev familiarized himself with the quality of the works. He noted that modern treatment facilities play a key role in maintaining the ecological safety of the republic. "Since Verkhny Uslon is located on the Volga River bank, the measures taken to improve the quality of sewage will prevent pollution of the largest reservoir," the Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan said. During the opening event, Farid Abdulganiev examined the work of modular biological treatment facilities, blower stations, laboratories with full set of equipment. These facilities were built in two years. In addition, during this time, sludge beds and a pump station were overhauled, a station for ultraviolet disinfection of sewage was installed, and the territory of the facility was landscaped. At present, treatment facilities clean 350 cubic meters of water per day, after which the treated effluents are sent to the Volga.
