Kazan schoolchildren are invited to participate in environmental forum Zilant

Kazan schoolchildren of grades 8-11 can take part in the XVIII city open ecological forum of pupils of 8-11 grades Zilant, which will be held on January 26, 2018. The organizers of this event are the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Education Board of the Executive Committee of Kazan, the City Children's Ecological and Biological Center, and the Kazan Federal University.
The ecological forum will be held in the following areas:
Research. Includes work of 9 sections: "Flora, plant ecology", "Fauna, animal ecology", "Bioindication, biomonitoring", "Water projects, Hydroecology", "Homo sapiens: social ecology, psychology", "Industrial ecology, anthropogenic ecosystems" "Ecology, physiology, human health", "Agroecology", "Biogeography, geoecology". The works of the participants will be evaluated according to the following criteria: the topic relevance, the work design, the complexity and volume of independently executed studies, the work presentation (knowledge of the material and terminology, presentation, report, imagery).
Organizational-mass direction (nomination – propaganda teams) on the forum topic. The age of participants in this category is from 6 to 11 classes. The degree of disclosure of a theme, originality, expressiveness of performance is estimated. In the nomination, the best propaganda teams participating in the qualifying round participate. It is recommended to conduct selection rounds in the regions. If there are no qualifying rounds in the districts, any team can come to the City Children's Ecological and Biological Center to participate to take part in the qualifying round (video shooting of the performance) before January 20, 2018. Conservation direction "Conservation of biodiversity and problems of protection of natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan". Reports on the environmental activities done, reflecting personal action in solving the nature conservation issue – cleaning and improvement of urban, suburban, and coastal areas, springs, landscaping of school territory, hanging feeders and feeding wintering birds, making and hanging nesting boxes, organizing and holding various environmental actions. The relevance and effectiveness of environmental protection and its practical importance are assessed.
Educating direction on the forum topic. The competition is held in absentia in three nominations: wall newspapers, literary creativity (essays, poems), posters (a new nomination – posters, computer graphics, in a printed form).
Applications for participation in the forum on research (a brief summary of the work should be sent together with the application) and environmental protection topics are accepted until December 22, 2017 by e-mail arslanuk@mail.ru.
