Acquaintance with the Red Book. Lesson about rare animals of the republic in first eco-class of Tatarstan

The pages of the Red Book were viewed by the pupils of the first ecological class in the republic. Educational event for schoolchildren was conducted by specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the employees of the National Museum of the Republic. On the ECO-lesson they told the kids why some species of animals are included in the Red Book and which representatives of the animal kingdom of the native land need special protection. Schoolchildren, in turn, demonstrated their knowledge of the forest and steppe inhabitants of the republic. Specialist of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan Elena Gilmizyanova noted that first-grade students successfully apply the knowledge gained during the after-hour activity. "Evidence of this is their active participation in many ECO competitions. And already now they have significant successes in this direction. One of the high achievements was the victory in the international competition for environmental issues," she shared with the achievements of young ecologists.
The project "The First Ecological Class" was launched in Tatarstan from the 1st of September on the basis of Gymnasium No. 3 of Kazan. It is implemented by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces.
