Spring water from taps. New microdistrict M-14 to be equipped with natural sources

Residential district M14 located in the Volga region of Kazan will be supplied with spring drinking water. Now, near the Orenburg highway, the 2nd exploratory well is being drilled. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev familiarized himself with the progress of the work. According to him, the indicators of chemical analysis and mineralization and hardness meet all the necessary requirements: “We expect to receive up to 20,000 cubic meters per day. This means that about 100,000 Kazan citizens will be able to receive the purest water from this well.” It was found by the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2015 and named “Suburban”. As Tatyana Garayeva, the head of the Kazan branch of JSC GIDEK, noted, now work is under way to study the deposits and make grounds for the future water intake. The exploitation potential of the field has been confirmed, the quality of water corresponds to drinking conditions. The artesian water extracted from 100-meter depth does not require treatment. The water intake well will provide the need for water not only of the microdistrict M14, but will also become a reserve source of water supply for the entire city.
