Treatment facilities of PJSC Kazanorgsintez became more efficient. Today, reconstructed slime and sludge fields launched

“Investments of PJSC Kazanorgsintez will show a high result and effectiveness, – said Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev. – Damage, which was prevented, is many times more than the money for the reconstruction of slime and sludge fields. With particular pride I want to emphasize that all Tatarstan enterprises have issues of nature protection in priority.” Today, reconstructed sludge and silt fields were launched on the site of neutralization and purification of industrial-waste waters of PJSC Kazanorgsintez. Now the amount of sludge accumulated on the fields will reach about 10 thousand tons (before – 7 thousand). Concrete foundations were made using more modern technologies, the filter element, the entire drainage system, and the feed system of pumped sludge were replaced. Preventive measures were taken to prevent contaminated sewage from entering the soil.
As the chief engineer of PJSC Kazanorgsintez Rafael Safarov noted, microfiltration of industrial wastewater is carried out on the facility. Up to 600 cubic meters of water is treated per hour. This allows reducing the number of discharges to the Volga and using the same water repeatedly. The program for the modernization of sewage, slime and sludge sites is planned for 5 years. But the whole amount of work has been done in two years. Farit Khayrutdinov, head of Rosprirodnadzor for RT, also said that the works are completed ahead of schedule. The great importance for the economy of the republic and the positive impact on the environment at the same time was noted by Tahir Khadeev, a deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, chairman of the Committee on Ecology, Nature Management, Agro-Industrial and Food Policy.
The implementation of environmentally significant projects at PJSC Kazanorgsintez shows the high level of responsibility for the environmental safety of the region, the adoption and effective implementation of environmental technologies in the activities of the enterprise. The measure was realized within the framework of the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan.
