Let’s save the tree together. Waste paper collection organized in Almetyevsk

Saplings of trees in exchange for waste paper. In Almetyevsk, an ecological action “Let’s save the Tree Together” was held. The event was organized by the specialists of the Department of Ecology and Nature Management of Almetyevsky Municipal District with the support of the South-East Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the company “Ecoservice”. Within a week, for every 3 kilograms of paper collected, the city residents received a seedling of cedar, fir, oak, maple, spruce or larch. According to ecologists, the collection of waste paper is one of the most effective ways of preserving the forest. The purpose of the action is to encourage people to take responsibility for waste management and restoration of green spaces. In total, the residents of the city and the region collected 2.2 tons of paper and cardboard. The funds received from the waste paper were sent to the children's homes fund in Almetyevsky district.
