Reality is not what contract says. Ecologists stopped the illegal capture of the river Kriusha

4 October 2017, Wednesday

A resident of Tatarstan signed an agreement for the use of the water area of the Kriusha River in the Elabuga region. According to the document, he intended to organize the rental of rowing boats, hydrocycles and parking for small boats. But none of the environmentalists found during the inspection – no pier or floating pontoons, and the designated water area floats was not fenced. At the same time, the citizen violated Article 19 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation by transferring the right to use this section of the water area to other persons. They, in turn, carried out the unloading and storage of common commercial minerals on the shoreline, thus causing damage to nature. Hydrochemical observations of the quality of surface waters on the site were not carried out, which is also a violation of the contractual provisions. The offender is prosecuted under Article 7.6. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Unauthorized occupation of a water body or use it in violation of the established conditions”, and the Supreme Court of Tatarstan issued a decision on the eligibility of termination of the contract with an unscrupulous natural resource user on the river Kriusha.
