Day of nature loving in Kazan gymnasium No.3

30 September 2017, Saturday

Green wealth – preserved and increased. In the Kazan Gymnasium No. 3, two ecological events were held at once. Gymnasists joined the campaign to collect waste paper “Save the forests of Russia” and took part in the planting of seedlings. More than two tons of paper and cardboard have been collected by joint efforts. A school record was established by first-graders. The ecological class, which was created this year, collected the greatest amount of recyclables for processing.
Day of nature loving continued for first-graders in the school territory. Planting of trees and bushes was organized by Elena Gilmizyanova, the leading specialist of the department of ecological education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan. She told the children about the structure of plants, how to properly water them, and what conditions they need to grow well. In planting trees, the first-graders were helped by elder students who prepared the soil and dug up the holes. The school area was planted with chestnut saplings from the Kazan zoobotanical garden and spiraea bushes provided by LLC “Complex “Ecology of the Volga Region” for active participation in the waste paper collection. “Today, children could personally contribute to the nature protection – they collected waste paper, planted and watered trees and shrubs. All these activities are aimed at fostering the ecological culture of schoolchildren from an early age. First-graders learn how to reduce environmental damage and improve the environment,” – said Elena Gilmizyanova.
Eco-lessons, environmental actions and interactive measures for environmental protection are held regularly in Gymnasium No. 3. In October, a lesson in energy conservation will be held in the eco-class.
