What is the beauty of nature, what is the Red Book, and how to conserve natural resources. These topics were discussed on an environmental lesson, which was held at Lyceum No. 121 named after Hero of the Soviet Union SA Akhtyamov, in Kazan. Yulia Shigapova, a leading expert in environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted an educational event for kids of grade 2. She told the children about the activities of environmentalists and introduced environmental rules of conduct. Kids immediately enshrined the theoretical knowledge in practice – painted ecological posters. Second-graders said that with their drawings they want to draw the attention of Kazan residents to the issues of conservation of natural resources. The teacher Raisa Khafizova noted that these and other social posters will be hung at city bus stops. This will be one of the methods for conducting ECO propaganda in Kazan. Also, in the near future, kids plan to start the movement of young ecologists, as nature protection activities are of the greatest interest among schoolchildren.
