Public transport and bicycles. Ecologists refused from personal cars today

Walking, two-wheeled and public transport. This is how the Day without a car is held in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan today. Minister Farid Abdulganiyev took advantage of public transport today, having walked most of the way. State nature protection inspectors gave their preference to two-wheeled transport. By the way, ECO-bicycle patrol is an innovation of the current year. Now in the republic many inspections are conducted on bicycles. The “Day without a car” will continue at 16.30 by a bike ride organized in Kazan by the Youth Ecological Movement Budetchisto.
The global action is designed to remind of the negative impact of cars on the environment and encourage people to the idea of ​​using alternative means of transportation: public transport, bicycles, and other vehicles.
In 2016, more than 65 thousand car owners took part in the action. If we take into account the fact that one car daily releases into the atmospheric air about 5-6 kg of pollutants with the exhausted gases, we can talk about reducing the emissions from cars on the day of the action as a whole in the country by more than 325 tons.
